About the Collection

The poppy has long been a symbol of remembrance, resilience, and beauty — and Silent Solace captures all of that in fabric form. Designed by The Craft Cotton Co, the collection pairs bold floral prints with a carefully considered colour palette: vivid reds, deep navy, cool grey, rich olive green, and crisp white. The result is a range that feels both timeless and contemporary, and works beautifully across quilting, patchwork, home décor, and craft projects.

Every print in the collection coordinates with the others, making it easy to mix and match — or to build an entire project around the range.

Meet the Prints

Memory Meadow is the heart of the collection — a beautifully composed poppy-inspired design in the classic reds, greys, navys, and black of the Silent Solace palette. It has a timeless, commemorative quality that works across a wide range of projects, and pairs naturally with plains and blenders in navy, cream, grey, or black.

Petal Heads Grey is the collection's essential blender. Soft grey flower heads scatter across a cool grey background, creating a calm, tonal fabric that lets your feature prints shine. Use it for sashing, borders, binding, or backing — it's one of those fabrics every quilter reaches for.

Twisted Poppies is the showstopper. Bold, full-bloom red poppies wind across a deep navy background on trailing sage stems — dramatic, richly coloured, and utterly striking. It works as a feature fabric in a quilt or as a statement piece in home décor.

Scarlet Tribute brings a fresh, high-contrast energy to the range. The Fabric

All five prints are made from 100% cotton, cut to order, and available by the fat quarter, long quarter, half metre, or metre — starting from just £2.00. Multiple quantities are cut in one continuous length.

Care is straightforward: cool wash, line dry, and iron on the cotton setting.

How I'd Use It

Silent Solace is a natural choice for a commemorative quilt — the poppy palette lends itself beautifully to Remembrance-themed projects, and the coordinated prints make it easy to create something meaningful without having to source fabrics from multiple ranges.
